In 2004, Andy Garcia began filming The Lost City and wanted to shoot one of the most memorable scenes of his movie at Chateau de la Fuente in July.  Unfortunately, there was no tobacco plants growing at Chateau de la Fuente during that time because the tobacco plants are usually harvested in March.  In order to help, Carlito Fuente planted tobacco at Chateau de la Fuente during the summer time so that Andy Garcia could film The Lost City.  After the movie was shot at Chateau de la Fuente, the tobacco plants were harvested and aged.

Eventually these tobaccos would become the foundation for the unique, single vintage The Lost City OpusX cigars.  Where regular production Arturo Fuente OpusX cigars have vintage Dominican tobaccos from many different years, these Lost City OpusX feature tobaccos from one single vintage year.  Five different sizes were made, along with a great Lost City OpusX Assortment that gets you one Robusto and a pair of Double Robusto and Toro sizes.  Small amounts are released two or three times each year so make sure you grab some when they're available.
