The original Flor de las Antillas line from My Father Cigars was a huge hit as soon as it was released.  The cigar debuted in early 2012 and went on to win the No. 1 spot in Cigars Aficionado's Top 25 Cigars of the Year list.

Pepin Garcia decided to follow up on the success of the original Flor de las Antillas with the release of the new Flor de las Antillas Maduro.  This new line of cigars keeps the original Nicaraguan filler/binder blend but changes the wrapper leaf to a unique Ecuadorian Habano Maduro.
