Davidoff Yamasa is a cigar 20 years in the making.  Henke Kelner, the master blender for Davidoff, found an outstanding region in the Dominican Republic nearly perfect for growing fine tobacco.  The climate was ideal, the soil was rich in minerals.  The only problem was the pH count in the soil was lacking.  Mr. Kelner and his team worked on enriching the soil and increasing the pH content.  After many years of work the soil was deemed just right for growing the Dominican Yamasa tobacco used to create the special Davidoff Yamasa.

Both the wrapper and binder are made with these unique Dominican Yamasa tobaccos.  The filler is perfectly balanced with sweet Condega and spicy Esteli tobaccos from Nicaragua.  Henke added some Dominican Piloto and Mejorado to add more strength and complexity to the blend.  

The Davidoff Yamasa immediately introduces notes of spice, leading to notes of nut, coffee, cedar wood, earth and black pepper.  It's another new experience created by Henke Kelner and Davidoff for cigar aficionados.  Enjoy!
